Nanoco - Placing and transfer to Full List

Nanoco is another to throw in the towel on AIM and transfer to the Full List in a move to attract a wider net of investors. Together with the move, the company is placing19.05m shares at 105p to raise £18.7m.The shares have been a lively market after a newswire quoted the chief executive, Michael Edelman, saying that he expects “to sign up multiple new display manufacturers as customers before Dow Chemical starts producing quantum dots” at a plant in South Korea from “mid-2015.”The display market will be the first commercial application of Nanoco's technology but Nanoco also intends to sell dots for use in lighting, the solar power industry and cancer imaging.
