The shares soared after Scapa said Q4 had been strong with a good initial contribution from the WEBTEC acquisition. Results for the year to 31 March will therefore be significantly ahead of expectations. In the light of the news, Investec lifted its forecast from £8.3m to £9.1m pretax (eps 3.6p), rising to £11.8m pretax (eps 4.8p) this year. Tipped at 47p in November ‘11, the gain to date is 47%.
