As if to confirm that it is not experiencing any work delays from its public sector customers, Mears has announced that it has been awarded a mammoth contract for response maintenance, void refurbishment and planned maintenance from the London Borough of Lambeth. The seven-year contract (with an extension of up to a further three years dependant on performance) is valued at £170m and will begin in October. Mears said its bid pipeline stands at £3.5 billion.
