As we foreshadowed last month, Asian Citrus has entered into exclusive discussions to purchase a state-owned enterprise farm. The plant in question is a citrus fruit plantation comprising 1.1m trees, located in Fuchuan County in Guangxi and follows on the heels of a new farm privatisation policy in China. To assist in concluding the deal and to fund similar farm acquisitions, Asian Citrus has placed 68m new shares at 46.5p, which will raise Â£31.6m after expenses.At the same time Huge Markets, a large shareholder has sold 27m shares at 47.8p and retains 22.8% of the enlarged share capital.
