We tipped Worthington Nichols in March ‘06 just ahead of its float at 50p by broker Blue Oar (Corporate Synergy). Since then the shares have put in a stellar performance, hitting a high of 187p this month. Worthington offers a complete turnkey service to hotels which ranges from survey and design to the installation and commissioning of air conditioning equipment and has just announced three small acquisitions. Having raised £3.5m (plus £12.5m at the time of float), Worthington has subsequently tapped the market twice, raising £6m in November at 90p and then £20m at 170p this month.
