Adept Telecom - Trading ahead of forecasts

Shares in Adept Telecom (ADT; 50p) were looking dead in the water before the company surprised the market with a trading statement which said that it expects that profits for 2007 are likely to exceed expectations. That news has helped the shares move up from the lows although they remain well short of the 210p high achieved shortly after float in 2006. Adept is one of those businesses born out of the deregulation of the telecoms market. The group is an independent supplier of fixed line communications services to SMEs.
