Shares in Portrait Software (PST; 17p) hit a new low in March after the group cautioned that sales for the year just ended on 31 March were likely to come in at £11.3m versus market expectations of £12.1m. Most investors didn’t bother reading beyond that point before selling the shares down to current levels and with so much historical baggage, it is easy for them to be rash. But the business is tiny and modestly capitalised against its ambitions. The prize for success could be huge. Portrait, formerly known as AIT, was established in 1986.
