Domino's has confirmed a very good start to 2006, with the key growth driver in the business (system sales) ahead by 18.9% to £70m in the first 16 weeks. Like-for-like sales are up 8.8% helped by an increase in TV advertising and new product launches. Domino's opened 12 take away units in the period, taking the total to 419, and leaving it on track to open 50 for the year. The second half should be boosted by the World Cup in June (with the new pizza, "Football Fanatic", currently being supported on TV).
