Last month opened with an encouragement to look at market conditions, and not be unduly seduced by the handsome profits of the first month of 2023. There are no good or bad markets. There are just conditions for which you are unprepared. It is similar to there being no bad weather, just poor clothing choices. We were able to forecast that February would likely be a less exuberant month. It was not a prediction, but rather a likelihood based on an observation of what we might call “the bleeding obvious.” This does not rely on a single issue – the obsessions for many have been inflation or predicting recessions.
