CNIC has announced two bolt on acquisitions and an update on trading. It is buying a German search engine, Fireball Search, as well as the .ruhr Top-Level Domain (TLD) for a combined €0.6m or 6x ebitda. Only six weeks into the year, CNIC said Q1 to date has been strong (driven by an extraordinary performance from the Online Marketing segment) and it is likely to exceed full year expectations. One commentator suggests this is down to internet users moving away from allowing cookies etc., so this means marketing platforms like CentralNic’s that don’t make use of third-party cookies or collect personal data are seeing a surge in use. Zeus has upgraded ($) eps to 13.4 cents this year and to 14.8 next. Tipped at 60p; hold. ...
