It is second time lucky for Sandy Chadha, chief executive of Supreme, which debuted on AIM last month. The first time he tried to IPO his business was two years ago but poor market conditions saw the float pulled. But Chadha persevered and continued to grow the business whilst privately held; in fact, performance has been astonishing with sales up from £80.2m in 2019 to an expected £123m in the year ending March 2021. Pretax profit has gone from £12.7m to an expected £16.5m. He says there really hasn’t been a Covid ‘bump.’During the month I spoke to Chadha and finance director Suzanne Smith.
