Scientific Digital Imaging - Shares break sharply higher following last months tip

Regular readers will recall that back in May 2011 on SCSW I made a case for buying shares in Judges Scientific (JDG; 1600p), which operates as a “buy and build” in the scientific instruments sector, buying market leaders in small, often very specialised niches. Tipped at 470p, the shares topped out at 2350p but I am still very fond of the shares at the current price.Last month I said I had found another “mini-Judges” when I alighted on Scientific Digital Imaging and I promised to write more. Since then I have met chief executive Mike Creedon, which has served to confirm my initial positive view of prospects.
