Supergroup has continued to bring home the bacon with the latest update showing an acceleration in sales. Overall sales were up 22.1% in Q3 (retail +18.2% and wholesale +41.7%), which was well up from Q2 when sales were up 18.5% (retail +20% and wholesale +16.7%). Total retail sales in Q3 were £113.8m helped by nine store openings and also the acquisition of a German agency, which saw seven stores transfer from a franchise basis to an owned basis. A large number of big box European stores are set to open in coming months. Wholesale Q3 sales for the 13-week period were +41.7% to £27.3m, a mile ahead of the 16.7% seen in Q2, albeit the result was partly flattered by the earlier timing of spring/summer dispatches.
