Parity (PTY;26.5p) is an old friend to Sharewatch. Subscribers will recall the shares were a successful constituent of Growth Portfolio I in the late 1990s and we think the time has come to revisit the story. The company was effectively established in 1993 when Philip Swinstead and Paul Davis joined the board of a small publicly quoted employment agency where Swinstead had acquired a 46% stake. Swinstead's strategy at the time was to use Parity's IT contracting business as a bridgehead into consulting and software development, which were fleshed out via acquisitions.
