Shares in two of the UK’s largest industrial companies engaged in the supply of temporary blue collar workers, Staffline (STAF; 215p) and Impellam (IPEL; 342.5p), stand on low single figure multiples, despite the recovery in manufacturing that has been seen in recent months.   Impellam has controversial Tory donor Lord Ashcroft on the share register, with a 57% stake, which explains its miserly rating. But Staffline, having appointed a new broker last year, has reshuffled its shareholder register to remove VC backers and has no one holder greater than 10%.
