During February, Character resumed its aggressive share buyback with 858,000 shares, half of which were sold by directors at 210p, bought for cancellation. That leaves 23.8m shares whilst directors still retain over 12m. Character also announced it has picked up a new licence from HIT Entertainment for its new childrens’ property, Mike the Knight, which makes its UK TV debut on CBeebies this Autumn. Under the multi-year agreement, Character will develop plush and plastic toys based on the character. Mike is the third agreement with HIT and follows earlier ones for Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam. This is all clearly the start of a “virtuous†circle for Character as it grows its presence with both brand owners and  retailers. ...
