Mears - Arbuthnot sets 400p share price target

Sending the share price higher was news that the HousingCorporation, the social housing regulator, has cleared Mears of anywrongdoing following an investigation into its working practices. Theinvestigation followed a BBC radio documentary last year whichhad made a number of allegations that Mears had routinely massagedperformance figures on a key contract in Hackney. Separately, Mears has also announced further contracts in both itssocial housing and care divisions. On the social housing side, Mearshas also won a Â£10m contract over five years with Mole Valley Housingfor planned maintenance and void refurbishment services.
