The shares were strong in the light of Eaga being selected by theBBC as the preferred supplier to deliver the £600m Digital SwitchoverHelp Scheme. The scheme will help up to seven million people convertone television set to digital during the switchover between now and2012. The contract reinforces Eaga's position as a leading provider ofservices to vulnerable groups, which in this instance includes thoseover 75 and those on certain disability benefits or registered asblind.
