Alterian - Positive pre close statement expected in April

Shares in Alterian (ALN; 140p), which provides software that helpsthe marketing departments of large companies deal with the problem ofprofiling their customer data, began a â€œV-shapedâ€ recovery during themonth. A prospective PE of 6.8 as we indicated in our note last monthat 118p has clearly tempted buyers ahead of a trading update inApril. We briefly spoke to chief executive David Eldridge who confirmsinvestors should not expect any nasty surprises, so much so that eventhough Q4 traditionally sees the highest numbers of contract renewalsand there are still five weeks to go, he remains confident of meetingbroker Altium's forecast for eps of 10.4p for the year to 31 March,rising to 17.4p for the year about to start. ...
