Tradeshow owner and organiser, Tarsus, has reported results at the top end of expectations. The results highlighted the strengths of the group. Sales were steady at £15.5m but pretax profit lifted 43% to £3m and eps up 25% to 5p. A superb performance - not only because it was an “off year” for the group’s largest biennial exhibition, Labelexpo Europe, which is held this year (and expected to add £1m to operating profit) but also because of the weakness in the dollar which on constant exchange rates depressed profits by around 20%.
