In a trading update, Scott Tod said that its management accounts for the six months to 31 December indicate that H1 results will be in line with expectations. However, the rapid growth in orders for ATMs has resulted in higher than anticipated costs whilst slower than anticipated growth in transaction revenues means H2 results will be substantially below expectations. Scott Tod said adverse publicity surrounding charges by cash machines had affected volumes. No updated forecast is available from recently appointed broker Peel Hunt. But the extent of the shortfall is indicated by the fact that none of the earnout shares will now be paid, implying a profit of less than £0.85m versus broker estimates of £2m. But with fewe ...
