Chorion - Announces post-demerger board structure

With both sides of its business now large enough to make demerger a sensible option, but quite possibly at a time in the business cycle when both sides could be about to go ex-growth, Chorion has announced its post-demerger board structure. The Chorion brand willbe retained for the intellectual property (IP) business. The barnightclub business will be held by a new parent company, Urbium PLC.John Conlan, currently chairman of Chorion becomes chairman of Urbium.Nick Tamblin, currently Chorion's chief executive, becomes NewChorion's chairman. Further details of the timetable for demerger will be announced on 12 March, together with results for 2001. ...
