Scapa, the consolidator in the tapes sector, has reported its full year results to end March, which beat even recently (3x) upgraded expectations. Sales went up just 4% to £236m but pretax profit was  20% ahead to £17.9m and eps rose 26% to 9.1p. Net debt was £3.4m after paying £11m for First Waters in February.The success driver was Healthcare which acts as an outsourcing partner for several global healthcare customers and it had the benefit of one month’s trading from First Waters.
