Finally, the shares hit a record high – something we have expected for a while but then they have had to contend with absorbing the rump of the VC backers in the past few months.Helping the cause was the Q1 statement to end March (a typically quiet quarter at 20% of full year profits). The quarter has been marked by Arrow strengthening its position in Portugal by establishing a new partnership with fund manager, Carval, to jointly originate and service loan portfolios in the country. Contemporaneously as Arrow attempts to clone its UK business in Portugal, it has bought Whitestar and Gesphone, two local servicers of loans, for €56.1m.
