As anticipated in our recent main writeup, the latest H1 results from Renew were excellent, boosted by high levels of demand for emergency repair work on the Rail side following the abnormal weather conditions and a contribution from Lewis acquired last year. Overall, Renew reported sales up 48% to £226m and pretax profit up 65% to £7.6m for eps up similarly at 9.8p. Stripping out weather-related issues at Rail (£22m sales) and Lewis (£15m) top and bottom-line growth were c.20%. Net cash increased to £8.1m.
