Tribal has issued a trading update covering the first five months. Its software arm, which supplies essential IT systems for the day-to-day running of universities and FE colleges continues to pick up work overseas although the UK is sluggish. The New South Wales contract continues apace and meanwhile Tribal is in advanced discussions with two universities in North America, together with a higher education institution in the Middle East to deploy new systems. At the end of April the order book was Â£158m. On the educational services side, some early benefits are coming through from the i-graduate acquisition, which has also enhanced overseas prospects.
