They say that behind every cloud is a silver lining. One person who would probably agree is Conor Walsh, chief executive of Andor Technology. The company sells high performance cameras for scientific research. Public funding cutbacks have made these markets in the US and Europe less buoyant than they were and had a dampening effect on the shares (down from a high of 680p in mid-2011) but what is certain is that Andor is a professionally managed business with the long-term in mind and has been busy developing a range of mid-range cameras whilst also increasing its sales exposure in Asia, which could become its biggest market in a few years.  Andor is a first class business and its astonishing long-term growth record remains in ...
