Shaft Sinkers has issued a trading update that said it continues to trade in line with expectations. Most of its projects remain on track but it said margins have suffered slightly due to standing time at its Impala 16 and 17 shafts as a result of a rope replacement incident, which has since been rectified. The rate of sinking of Eurochem's potash mine has also slowed slightly due to difficult ground conditions. Meanwhile, it continues to experience a high level of tender activity in South Africa, Russia and India.As was the case last year, performance will be weighted into the second half of the year reflecting the workload associated on its major contracts.No real new news within th ...
