BATM fell sharply after saying that the first four months sales were US$36m, down from US$38.9m in the period last year. The decrease is due to a low order from a major OEM in the telecoms division although this has been somewhat offset by growth on the medical side.During these four months, the sales mix was 63% from the telecoms division and 37% from the medical division. Overall, this plus a decline in the Euro has caused a 7% slip in the gross margin and consequently BATM expects to break-even during H1, versus a US$12.9m profit last year.
