Cosalt has announced that the second half of the year, traditionally its stronger, has been quieter than expected, in part because the oil price was low in late winter and the spring and customers delayed some projects. Results for the year to 31 October will therefore be below market expectations and broker Evolution has downgraded by 26% to Â£6.1m pretax this year for eps of 16.4p. That is a decline on last year's pretax profit of Â£7.2m.The fall in the shares is unduly harsh and they now trade on a PE of just 3.4. Speculative buy. ...
