TEP's results this month show revenues went up by 6% to Â£186m during the year to 31 March but the quality of business continued to improve as customers took more services and on a single unified bill (telephony and utilities on a single bill) with costs largely fixed, this has had an electrifying effect on profits. But the year was one of two distinct halves. H1 sales had been impacted by the lower retail energy prices and a decision by TEP to provide customers taking more than one utility service with free telephone calls instead of a previous cashback scheme. The second half felt the benefit of these actions, which showed through in the form of rising customer numbers (5.3k customers added in H2 to end the year with 217. ...
