Cosalt - Sells non core schoolwear arm

Cosalt has sold its non-core school uniform business for Â£4.5m (of which Â£1.5m was in cash with the remaining Â£3m to be paid by the end of 2010). In the year to 28 October the business made Â£1.25m, although trading has since deteriorated considerably. At the same time, Cosalt also announced a small infill acquisition of Safety At Height, for Â£0.27m. This distributes fall arrest protection equipment, which is mandatory for people working at height on oil and gas platforms. Per Jonsson has stood down as chief executive after these results, apparently because he lacked broader international experience.
