A placing of shares in AIM-listed Tyratech (TYR; 505p) by broker Code Nomura this month has been well supported by investors and raised £25m new money at 500p for the company to value it at £110m. The reason for such enthusiasm from investors is that Tyratech, despite being only three years old, represents a potential blockbuster opportunity in a market driven by growing environmental and safety concerns. Tyratech's mainstay is the development of a range of safe and effective insecticides and pesticides based on natural vegetable oils.
