Northbridge Industrial Services - Plans to consolidate specialist industrial hire sector

Northbridge Industrial Services (NBI; 101p) is a new company established as an acquisition vehicle by its chief executive, Eric Hook, to consolidate businesses in the specialist industrial hire sector in the UK. Hook has experience in building up similar entities during his time with Andrew Sykes (ASY; 101p), a business involved in the hire and sale of portable air conditioning and pumps. The problem with that however was that even though it was quoted on public markets, it was effectively private, with an 80 year old chairman owning the vast majority of the shares.
