We omitted updating on Spring last month following results for 2004. Sales were up 37% to £476m in the year to 31 December, of which 28% was organic growth and 9% arose from the acquisition of Best. Profit before taxation was £8.5m for adjusted eps of 5.0p on a nil tax charge. Net cash at the period end was £28.9m or 18.4p a share. The lion's share of sales was Spring Technology Staffing Services which after three years of decline saw some improvement in demand for IT professionals. Sales grew 43% to £416m.
