Nice to see UPGS get its mojo back with the purchase of the intellectual property rights of Kleeneze, the cleaning, laundry and homewares brand. It looks like it has probably paid next to nothing and in time UPGS will use the brand to launch a range of laundry and floorcare products for sale into retail and via online channels. UPGS said the deal is consistent with its track record of making opportunistic acquisitions of brands and then successfully relaunching them, the most notable example of which was the purchase of Beldray in 2009, now its best-performing brand.
