A recent director share sale failed to dent the share price, which went to a new high following the pre-close statement confirming a strong end to the year. For the year to end May, against a very adverse market backdrop, sales were up 18.4% to £185.9m. Retail revenue increased by 16% driven by a very good e-commerce sales performance and 15 net new stores during the year. Wholesale revenue increased by approximately 24% with the Spring/Summer order-book doubling. US gross margins have improved after Joules ditched a third party distributor and moved to direct supply. Pretax profit and eps forecasts of £12.6m/11p should be exceeded when it reports results on 25 July. Up with events. Hold. ...
