The shares came off unexpectedly after Warpaint’s AGM statement said that the US/UK/ROW/Online had all been strong although Europe was flatter. New products have been launched including the new vegan range and the company remains confident of meeting its sales target of £31.9m for the current year and £38.3m next year, up from £27m last year as it develops its global brand. As recently as last month, brokers had upgraded to £7.6m pretax profit (+£0.3m) for 2017 and £9.5m (+£0.3m) for 2018 to reflect better margins, so it is rather odd to see the shares coming off.
