Just one month ago Speedy said its new network configuration was enabling it to more effectively rent its range of tools but it now says the IT transition and the lack of available kit has slowed sales and results for FY16 will be materially below FY15. The area of blame has been a lack of available equipment, a focus on strategic accounts and poor customer service whilst the new IT systems were being installed. The expected sale of its Middle East oil & gas operations have also fallen through. Chief executive Mark Rogerson has fallen on his sword and is replaced by newly appointed FD, Russell Down (ex-Hyder). Investec has lowered its FY16 pretax profit/eps forecast by 40% to £16.5m/2.4p whilst FY17 reduces by 25% to £3.2 ...
