Scapa has issued its best results since 2001. For the year to 31 March, sales went up 9% to £209m whilst both pretax profit and eps lifted by 34% to £12.7m and 5.6p, respectively. Net cash was £7.6m.  The shining star was healthcare, which includes the Webtec acquisition, and where Scapa's focus is on four key market sectors (advanced wound care, medical device, consumer wellness and transdermal drug delivery). After assembling a strong team, finance director Paul Edwards says Scapa is moving up the value chain by supplying the end customer with products, which have been designed, manufactured, coated, packed and sterilised so all they have to do is sell it.
