First Derivatives full year results showed revenues up 22% to £56.5m, mainly driven by a better than expected 27% increase in consulting revenues to £41.5m. Normalised pretax profit increased by 6% to £7.8m for eps of 38p. Net debt was £22.2m.Software and transactional revenues were up 11% to £15m. But this bald figure belies the strong underlying progress with an eye-catching 36% jump in transactional revenue to £8m mainly from its foreign exchange trading platform Delta Flow FX (helped by new customer wins including one of the biggest Japanese banks) more than offsetting a reduction in once off licence income and reduced legacy revenues.
