Kewill's results for the year ended 31 March had no real surprises. Sales were up 7% to £60m with underlying organic growth excluding the Minihouse acquisition of 3%. Cost control measures across the business meant adjusted pretax profit grew by 8% to £9.4m. Earnings were 7.2p. Despite spending £6m upfront on Minihouse, strong cash generation left net cash at the year end of £16.9m.The year under review saw shipping markets swing back from the downturn the previous year and as a consequence there has been a pickup in Q4 deal closure rates and activity as customers’ own businesses also bounced back.
