The steep decline in the stockmarket from the highs earlier this year has been caused by a remarkable sequence of events including the turmoil of the Arab Spring, Japan's worst earthquake, faltering growth with high inflation and a eurozone debt crisis. This has left us wondering when investors will again start to take a positive view on prospects, which has made this month's task of selecting my main recommendations even harder than usual.What then is going to save us from a grim bear market?
