Claimar Care - Delays in closing contract

Claimar has warned that its results for the six months to 31 March will materially fall short of the reduced expectations set last month.Complete Care, bought last November, has experienced delays in entering into a number of new complex care contracts although Claimar expects some recovery by the second half. On the core domiciliary care side it has not been able to fully recover the increased cost of fuel and the working time directive. Whilst sales and pretax profit will exceed the equivalent prior year numbers, eps will fall below those of the prior year.
