Davenham has acquired the commercial leasing and hire purchasebusiness of London Scottish Bank which trades under the name of ManorCredit. Huddersfield-based Manor specialises in financing constructionequipment and commercial vehicles and will be absorbed into Davenham'sasset finance division. Davenham is paying 1.1x the book value ofassets being acquired which amounts to £22.9m and has been funded fromexisting debt facilities. In the year to 31 October, the business madea pretax profit of £664,000 on sales of £2.9m and is therefore expectedto be eps enhancing. Hold. ...
