Ahead of reporting on 1 August, Arena has said that H1 revenues would be lower than forecast due to lower than expected attendances at Wolverhampton and Lingfield Park. The shortfall is due to some belt tightening following several rises in interest rates but also the wet weather (with Southwell and Wolverhampton currently flooded) which has depressed public attendance although corporate bookings are ahead. Overall profit for the year will be around 6% ahead at £6m. In terms of its property, Arena said its Doncaster redevelopment is on schedule to stage the St Leger festival in September.
