Shares in Statpro (SOG; 83.5p), a company which supplies analytics software for fund managers, have risen steadily from the low 30s a year ago. But it is not too late to buy the shares as the company moves into new markets, both geographically and product-wise. Justin Wheatley, who founded the business in 1994, says Statpro has been doing well largely because fund managers increasingly demand more powerful databases to assimilate a variety of data sources, such as back office information, index and market data, in order to analyse and present their fund’s performance.
