Electric Word has acquired the assets of CKP, a publisher of teacher resources, from one of its directors, for £137,000, mostly in shares. In the year to 30 June 2005, CKP broke even on sales of £121,000. Ahead of interim results on 21 August, Electric Word also said that H1 trading is in line with expectations with the two other acquisitions of SportBusiness and Incentive Plus providing a strong platform for continued growth.
