Having returned to market 15 months ago in a much downsized version, Civica (CIV; 235p) (which comprises all the public sector parts of the former Sanderson Electronics business) is at an early stage in its strategy to consolidate its local authority market. The company has just announced its second acquisition of a company supplying local authority software applications this month and the combination of a growth story together with significant placing power saw the associated ?10m fundraising at 210p subscribed by almost three times.
