Accident Exchange has raised £7.7m net by a placing of 3.4m new shares at 230p. At the same time, it has placed 3m shares on behalf of some original founders but not any directors. The same day, the company also reported results for the year to 30 April. Turnover was up more than fourfold to £21.7m and pretax profit before goodwill was up 573% to £7.4m for adjusted eps of 8.3p. Accident Exchange provides replacement vehicles to motorists involved in accidents where they are not at fault. In the case of fleet size and utilisation, both metrics remained ahead of best expectations.
